McCraith Beverages Commercial
New York Mills, NY
This building won an award from the American Concrete Institute for its unique aesthetic concept, structural design, innovative use of material and quality of installation. This building brings back memories of historic masonry buildings, such as castles and churches. The architect selected a material that had a light buff color but also has a contrast of smooth and rough textures. The end result was a masonry block building made of contrasting bands of 4x8x24 Sand Blasted and 4x16x24 Split Face Units. The unique octagon shape portion is the company's conference room and conference room table made of special hardwoods. The walls in the conference room and throughout the building are book-matched red cherry paneling.
