Project is a renovation of an existing building downtown Utica at 167 Genesee Street into commercial and residential spaces. The Meadows

Hamilton College Health & Counseling Center

This project involved building a new two-story 14,000 SF Health and Counseling Center for Hamilton College.  It consists of multiple exam and medical spaces throughout the 1st floor along with counseling and group activity spaces throughout the 2nd floor.  Design features include eight new geothermal wells for a closed-loop heating/cooling system and the second floor hardwood flooring is Hickory which was reclaimed from a grove of existing hickory trees that were on the site before the building was built. West Street Apartments

This three-story 52,000 SF project  provide (36) one-bedroom and (6) two-bedroom affordable housing units including 11 permanent supportive housing apartments for the homeless, those at risk of homelessness, and/or formerly homeless individuals or small families. There is also approximately 7,200 SF dedicated to the Community Services programs that the Rescue Mission of Utica will operate and will be located on the Ground Floor of the new facility.  To view project in its entirety please click on this link West Street Apartments

The Kelberman at Sunset Apartments

The Kelberman at Sunset Apartments- a.k.a. The Link at Sunset will involve the removal of the old Sunset School and the construction of a new 4 story Multi-residential apartment complex with 7,500 SF of office space for the Kelberman Center. This new complex will house 12 units for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and an additional 48 housing units. There will also be office space,  Community Space a Fitness room and roof top gardens.  
 
Completion is set for December of 2020.

Masonic Care Community Expands its Acacia Village

Gaetano Construction is again working with the Masonic Care Community as it expands its Acacia Village property. We will be working on "The Neighborhoods at Acacia Village" which will include Waterside Cottages and Garden Homes in phase one of the project. Ground has already been broken and site work well underway. Our time line calls for the first of the Waterfront Cottages to be completed by late summer 2020. Gaetano Construction has also been awarded the contract to refurbish the existing Acacia Village Community Center and apartments, creating what will be now known as the Acacia Village Lodge and Lodge Suites.

Construction Management (CM) At Risk

We specialize in Construction Management services working with private colleges, non-profits, developers, and health care clients to deliver projects from pre-construction budgeting through complete project management. We provide office Project Managers and experienced on-site Superintendents for every project.

Conventional Design-Build

We have completed Design-Build projects for clients throughout Central and Northern New York. Offering single source responsibility, our Design-Build services include site selection, in-house AutoCAD drafting, complete project compliance, mechanical and electrical engineering with our independent professional engineers and architects, from concept through project completion. These projects tend to be larger and more complex.

General Construction

Since 1960, we have served Central and Northern New York clients as a traditional general contractor working from owner provided plans and specifications for both private and public clients. We self-perform concrete foundations and interior build-out with our experienced Superintendents and crews.

Mr. Gaetano has worked at the Charles A. Gaetano Construction Corp. since 1969. In 1993 he assumed responsibility for the company's business development. Under his leadership, the firm has tripled its work volume performed, while the business has grown into a full-service general contractor and design-build firm.

I have over 20 years of commercial construction industry experience with Gaetano Construction Corporation. As a graduate of SUNY Institute of Technology, I started with Gaetano as a Project Manager Assistant. I have since progressed to Estimator and Project Manager, working on several multi-million dollar projects.

As a Dean's List student in Construction Management, Mr. Bushardt joined Gaetano Construction Corporation in 1999. Upon graduation, Mr. Bushardt has continued his growth with the Corporation as an Estimator and Project Manager.
