Lofts at Globe Mill – 210,000 SF ($37.7 Million)
Project Manager:
Mark Nish & Rob Reed
Superintendent: Jim Post

The Lofts at Globe Mill is a $37.7 Million mixed-use adaptive reuse/preservation project of the historical Globe Woolen Mills in Utica, New York. This 210,000 square foot complex was originally constructed in the late 1800s. Upon completion, the facility now features 149 residential apartment units across the three primary mill buildings. Plus, management offices, a small commercial space and tenant amenities such as the Fitness room, Community Room and Computer Room.

Utilization of historic tax credits required heavy-timber frame exposed structure, and restoration of exterior and interior masonry. Simultaneously, modern residential amenities and finishes were integrated to celebrate the historic nature of the Mills while providing a sustainable and durable setting for future tenants.

We are very proud to have been the Builder on the Lofts at Globe Mill’s adaptive reuse-renovation-restoration. Our efforts, along with the rest of the development team transformed a dormant city block into a vibrant, active residential community for years to come.
