Carbone Honda Conventional Design/Build

Carbone Honda

Sales and Service Facility

Yorkville, New York

Construction Notes

This 24000 sf, new car dealership was delivered on a Design-Build contract. It is our 5th consecutive project for the Carbone Auto Group. The project was started in the fall of 2006 and completed in June of 2007.

The conventional steel framed building features an expansive show room, enclosed service reception area, a 14 bay service garage with diamond polished floor slabs and Petrotex sealer, an in floor radiant heat system, an 8,000 sf second floor office area, parts storage and mechanical room that stores waste oil for primary heating fuel.

The exterior features the distinctive Honda Wave canopy and Alucobond circular entry element.

Also, the buildings' exterior wall system features a new insulated structural wall panel by Butler known as Kore-Teck that replaces conventional steel studs, fiberglass, gypsum sheathing and foam insulation, ready for an EIFS finish. The building was enclosed in just 5 days following the masonry, which allowed us to continue quickly with interior work in the winter months.
