Overview

Jamie Sprague has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, managing projects ranging in scope and value. As Superintendent for the Charles A. Gaetano Construction Corporation, he has responsibility for managing our project sites. 

Mr. Sprague is a "hands on" leader who stays on site daily with the project team. His top priorities are insuring that work flows smoothly and efficiently, that project drawings and specifications are in compliance, and that safe working practices and OSHA guidelines are always in practice.

Key Projects

Meadows at Middle Settlement Senior Apartments ("The Meadows") - $17.4M

Located at 4310 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY - this multi-phase project demolished 14 of the 22 existing buildings on the site, and have been replaced by  (3) three new buildings comprised of 93 units (84 1-bedroom and 9 2-bedrooms) and (1) new 5500 SF Community Center .  The buildings are three-story, double-loaded corridor, elevator served.  The redevelopment will replace all current studio/efficiency units with one-bedroom units and is the first phase of a multi-Phase Project

Hamilton College Practice Facility - $3.3M

New construction of  a 29,300 SF  indoor turf field. An addition to Hamilton College's current practice facility. This addition is a pre-manufactured Butler building. Details include new men's and women's restrooms along with an indoor batting cage.

Syracuse University DellPlain Hall - $6.8 Million

This (8) floor residence hall included the renovation of all bathrooms and RA Suites  and was completed in two summers. This project also included (2) 8-story window-wall replacement along with new electrical and mechanical upgrades.

Utica College Welcome Center, Utica, NY - $1.2M

5,500 SF Custom Design-build Butler pre-engineered building with conventional exterior products.  This building serves as the first stop for prospective students & their families.  This building features a Great Room, Bluestone Fireplace, (6) interview rooms, office area, conference room and lounge for faculty & staff.

Hutchings Psychiatric Center, Syracuse, NY - $7.6M

Project for NYS Office of Mental Health included DASNY as the Construction Mgr. Project included (2) new 3-story CMU additions & total gut renovation of existing 36,000 SF Mental Health facility.  Major components of this project: new commercial kitchen & a large dining commons, mechanical/electrical systems, security windows, curtain walls, built-up roof w/safety rails & roof walkway, reconfigured site, with all new utilities, courtyards & various site amenities.

Assured Information Security - $7M

New construction of a two-story 45,000 SF Corporate Office building on the Griffiss Technology Park in Rome, NY.  The steel structure is enclosed with precast concrete and a Centria panel & window system, the steel columns outward of the building envelope are wrapped with circular covers giving the exterior walls a distinct setback from the precast fascia band.

Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES - $10.5M

Alterations & Additions of a new 84,000 SF Career and Technology wing, a new 5000 SF Environmental Conservation Building and the complete renovation of the existing Career and Technology building as well as the existing Special Education wing.

MVCC Dormitory – $6.7 M

New 3-story, 155-bed residence hall. 41,000 SF building located next to the existing student housing. The building features five-person suites with two double rooms and one single room, along with a common gathering area and bathroom. Rooms are wired for internet, telephone and cable television.
