Mr. Manna, with 30 years of experience in the construction industry, was hired as a jobsite superintendent in 2012 by Gaetano and now fills the position of General Superintendent involving daily contact and oversight of approximately 15 superintendents managing our projects.
His top priorities are insuring that work flows smoothly and efficiently, that properly skilled tradesman are assigned, and that compliance with OSHA mandates, federal, state and local ordinances are in compliance , while maintaining job schedules. His approach to project safety leads our projects to a successful track record and reputation for conscientious compliance with the OSHA, other Federal, New York State, and Local Codes and Regulations. His goal is to closely monitor all phases of construction for the safety and health of all project employees and for the protection of all property.
Our clients can be confident that Mr. Manna will coordinate activities in a manner that causes the least disruption to ongoing services at their facility, while insuring construction is completed on time.
Key Projects (As Superintendent)
Asteri Apartments, Utica, NY - Existing six-story, 45,500 square foot historic building was converted into a multi-family residential development consisting of forty-nine (49) rental units and amenities and offices. Project Value approx. $3.2M
HMI Log/Mult Building Addition, Clayville, NY - 13,000 SF addition to an existing manufacturing plant using the Design/Build project delivery method. The site had poor soil conditions and required a micro-pile foundation system, with concrete grade beams and structural slab on grade. The structural steel frame also supported a bridge crane to aid in off-loading materials. The project was completed in 6 months. Project value approx. $3M
Central Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired Warehouse Addition, Utica, NY- New Butler pre-engineered warehouse building approximately 20,000 SF. Construction included upgrades to the sprinkler system, mechanical, plumbing , electrical and fire alarm. Project value approx. $200,000
Jimmy Johns Gourmet Sandwiches, New Hartford, NY - New 1,650 SF restaurant where construction was started on November 2014 and finished the end of March 2015 for an opening date of April 7, 2015. Gaetano's six-man crew and approximately 24 crew members of various subcontractors successfully completed this fast-track project in spite of the rough and long winter. Project value approx. $930,000
Utica College Organic Chemistry Lab, Gordon Science Center, Utica, NY – Complete renovation of a pre-existing chemistry classroom into a State of the Art Organic Chemistry lab complete with 8 new Fume Hoods, 8 new work stations, all new Mechanical and Electrical systems, new LED lighting, Wireless equipment operation, decorative metal ceilings and a new 20 Ton Air Handling Unit. Project value approx. $719,000
SUNY IT Quad C, Marcy, NY - This project included the site & utility relocation package for the new QUAD-C project at the SUNY Institute of Technology. The project consisted of relocating Tele/Data lines in preparation for the new QUAD-C Nanotech Research Facility, and providing new storm, water, sanitary and electric utilities to the building site. Charlie acted as Gaetano's on site Safety Manager. Project Value approx. $3.1M.Project Superintendent of three new buildings for the merger with the Pratt School of Art. Constructed the new 25,000 SF Student Center, 32,000 SF Academic Building and 42,000 SF Academic/Administrative Building. Job Value: $15M
