Warehouse, Manufacturing, Office and Showroom Expansion
This 83,500 SF Butler Building expansion for Meyda Tiffany in Yorkville, NY began
on site in early August of 2000. The planning process, however, began nearly (2)
years earlier when the owner of this manufacturer and distributor of stained glass
products, contacted our office to discuss his expansion needs. The relationship
between our firms had begun in 1993 when Meyda purchased an abandoned 60,000 SF
facility and contacted us to replace a 24,000 SF area with a new pre-engineered
building. We were successful in completing that design-build project and were
able to build on our relationship to obtain this new project, which will more
than double the size of the current facilities. The new project includes a 63,380
SF manufacturing and warehouse area with a 5,600 SF first floor showroom, 5,600
SF second floor photography and office area, as well as a 7,800 SF warehouse mezzanine.
Once the showroom is complete, we will renovate the existing offices and showroom
to a new 7,000 SF office area. The warehouse and manufacturing area is scheduled
for completion in December 2000, the showroom for February, and the office renovations
for April 2001.
