Charles A Gaetano Construction, Utica NY has completed work on the new 28,800 sf Baking Facility for Heidelberg Bread. Following over a year of planning the project is the very first building in the Herkimer County IDA’s “Pumpkin Patch” Industrial Park located in Frankfort, NY. The building replaces the original Heidelberg plant in Herkimer which the company had outgrown due to its continued growth and high demand for the artisan bread products they have produced since 1983.

The project was completed on a Design-Build basis that includes Site, Structural, Architectural and Mechanical/Electrical design and construction. The building includes separate Production and Packaging areas, Hi R value Insulated Metal Wall and Roof Panels, Staff offices and support facilities.
