Folts-Claxton Manor is a new three story, 70,000 SF assisted living facility in
Herkimer, NY that opened in May 1998. The structure is framed in pre-cast concrete
plank with Dryvit and brick veneer and is an 80 bed facility providing individual
bedrooms with private bathrooms. Each bedroom has cable TV access and separate
heat and air conditioning control. Assistance with daily activities includes housekeeping
and laundry services and three daily meals served in a beautifully decorated dining
room. Other leisure time spaces include a library with a fireplace, an ice cream
parlor, gift and beauty shops and patio decks for reading or visiting with family
and friends. The facility is staffed with 24-hour security and resident assistants
plus a chaplain, a professional nurse and a medical case manager. Careful attention
to interior design and decoration provides a warm and comfortable atmosphere for
those who call Folts-Claxton their home. |
