This 100,000 SF bus manufacturing facility includes 85,000 SF of high-bay assembly
and production space including a two-bay paint spray booth, as well as service
and alignment pits. The facility also includes 15,000 SF of new office, rest room,
locker room and cafeteria space. Working with Bannerjee Architects & Engineers
(Canada), construction of the structural steel and insulated metal panel building
began late in 1986. Foundations were placed during two record-cold months, necessitating
frost removal to a depth of over three feet and the use of heated weather enclosures.
