Overview

Tim Huff brings over 31 years of experience in the construction industry as a carpenter, foreman and superintendent specializing in interior renovation. He started his career as a carpenter/laborer for a homebuilder and eventually learned all aspects of the trades. In 1990, he had the opportunity to work for a company that did both residential and commercial construction and served as a foreman traveling throughout the state up-grading and remodeling phone company buildings as well as other commercial and residential work.

Tim came to work for Gaetano in 1998 as a carpenter. His diligence and hands-on experience in all fields including a good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical principals and his keen ability to plan ahead on every detail has facilitated his progression to superintendent.

Key Projects

St. Elizabeth, Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 

13,500 SF Tenant Fit-Up, that included new finishes, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection in an existing building. The space houses a combination of examination rooms, a radiology department, blood draw department and large medical records, all to support a leading edge Orthopedic Group for the Mohawk Valley. Project Value: $1.4 M

Kennedy Plaza Low-Rise Bldgs., Utica, NY  Renovate the existing Kennedy Plaza East and West Low-rise buildings. The project involved upgrades to the facilities' heating, lighting and fire alarm systems as well as new kitchen cabinets & appliances, new floor coverings, new bathroom fixtures, new interior doors & hardware, new windows and repainting of the entire 88-unit complex including replacing the elevators for both buildings. Cost $8.2M

Colgate 110 Broad St., Hamilton, NY  Converted a former Fraternity House that had been vacant for several years into a dorm. Complete renovations and life safety upgrades were required, including a new heating system, new electrical wiring and lighting, Fire Protection System, new roof, windows and handicap accessibility. This project was completed in 100 days enabling Colgate to open the facility for the 2010 Fall Semester. Cost $1.4M

Colgate Saperstein Jewish Center, Hamilton, NY  Renovation including 2 new kitchens and other interior finishes. Cost $122,500

Adjusters International  Utica, NY 3,400 SF Basement Build-out  Finish raw basement into training area, state-of-the-art conference room and kitchen. Cost $217,300

New Hartford Eye Faxton Campus, September 2001  October 2002 Extensive renovations and structural work on two floors. Cost $120,600

Fort Schuyler Club  Utica, NY, Lobby/2nd Floor Renovations  Remodeled approximately 4,000 sq. ft. while the business was still opened. Cost $50,000
