Overview

Jamie Sprague has 28 years of experience in the construction industry, managing projects ranging in scope and value. As Superintendent for the Charles A. Gaetano Construction Corporation, he has responsibility for managing our project sites.

Mr. Sprague is a "hands on" leader who stays on site daily with the project team. His top priorities are insuring that work flows smoothly and efficiently, that project drawings and specifications are in compliance, and that safe working practices and OSHA guidelines are always in practice. Our clients rely on Mr. Sprague to coordinate activities in a manner that causes the least disruption to ongoing services at their facility, while insuring construction is completed on time and on-budget.

Mr. Sprague has supervised a wide range of projects throughout his career including federal government projects, various hospitals and healthcare facilities, schools and college dormitories, sports arenas, and factories.

Key Projects

Hutchings Psychiatric Center, Syracuse, NY - $7.6 M

Project for NYS Office of Mental Health included DASNY as the Construction Mgr. Project included (2) new 3-story CMU additions & total gut renovation of existing 36,000 SF Mental Health facility. Major components of this project: new commercial kitchen & a large dining commons, mechanical/electrical systems, security windows, curtain walls, built-up roof w/safety rails & roof walkway, reconfigured site, with all new utilities, courtyards & various site amenities.

CACI Rome, NY - $700,000

This project included full demolition and build-out of 1/2 of the ground and lower level floors. The space will be occupied by CACI, a cyber-security government contractor and consists of offices, secure computer labs, support spaces, shielding special lab and a pre-fab shielded room. In conjunction with this renovation a new chair lift was installed and the sidewalk was extended to the lower level to provide emergency egress.

MidAir Tail Enclosure - $1.6 M

This project is a 4,500 SF moveable structure sized to enclose the tail of a 747 Jumbo Jet. When closed, it is over 80' wide and 75' tall. The structure rides on rail car trucks and tracks embedded in the concrete apron. It is covered with 4" insulated metal panel siding and will have a rubber roof.

Assured Information Security (AIS) - $7 M

New construction of a two-story 45,000 SF Corporate Office building on the Griffiss Technology Park in Rome, NY. The steel structure is enclosed with precast concrete and a Centria panel & window system, the steel columns outward of the building envelope are wrapped with circular covers giving the exterior walls a distinct setback from the precast fascia band.

Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES - $10.5. M

Alterations & Additions of a new 84,000 SF Career and Technology wing, a new 5000 SF Environmental Conservation Building and the complete renovation of the existing Career and Technology building as well as the existing Special Education wing..

Lewis County Courthouse - $7.2 M

Addition & Renovations, Lowville NY - New 40,000 square-foot 3-story addition for the County Court System. Renovation to the former Courthouse into Offices for other services.

Liberty Housing - $4.8 M

New three-story steel and masonry housing project. Poured foundation, structural steel frame, block and brick walls, and metal decking with concrete floors, 42,660 square-feet.

MVCC Dormitory - $6.7 M

Poured foundation, block and brick walls, metal stud and concrete floor, and flat rubber roof. 48,000 square-feet.

Utica Rescue Mission - $2.3 M

Poured foundation, block and brick walls, precast plank floor, and metal roof trusses. 22,500 square-feet.
