Overview

Dick Jones has been with Gaetano Construction Corporation for over 20 years as Project Superintendent.

As Superintendent for Gaetano Construction Corporation, Mr. Jones coordinates the activities of all site contractors, assuring compliance with Architect/Engineer drawings and specifications. Mr. Jones is an expert carpenter and has a strong background with building mechanical and electrical systems. He also maintains compliance with OSHA mandates and federal, state and local zoning ordinances while maintaining the job schedule. An important part of Mr. Jones role as superintendent is being a communication link between the project manager, owner and all subcontractors while supervising on site workers.

Key Projects

J H Rhodes-Relocation to Vernon, NY

A $2.1 million, 82,000 sf, complete renovation to a vacant building. The project included large production rooms and areas with new full height partitions, complete painting of all exposed steel, heavy duty epoxy floor painting, completely new HVAC including several new Roof Top units with plant air conditioning and ventilation, a new 1200 amp electrical service and power to new equipment as well as new Labs and some new Offices.

Gilroy, Kernan, and Gilroy Insurance, Clinton, NY

A $1.1 million design/build project that included complete removal of all interiors and mechanical / electrical, a 60 seat training facility, 4 new toilet rooms, lunch room, secondary kitchen, a main conference room as well as several private offices and meeting rooms. The finishes included an upgraded ceiling system with drywall soffits, 8' high doors, carpet tiles and ceramic tiles. The exterior features a new Alucobond entrance canopy, new aluminum windows and doors and landscaping.

Carbone Honda - Sales and Service Facility, Yorkville, NY

A $2.9 million design/build conventional steel framed building features an expansive showroom, enclosed service reception area, bay service garage with diamond polished floor slabs and Petrotex sealer, an in floor radiant heat 8,000 square-foot second floor office area, parts storage and mechanical room that stores waste oil for primary heating fuel. The exterior features the distinctive Honda Wave canopy and Alucobond circular entry element.

Carbone Pontiac / GMC, Yorkville, NY

A $1.7 million emergency repairs were made after this facility suffered a devastating fire. We quickly assembled a design/build team and completed (3) additions totaling 10,500 square-feet and 14,000 square-feet of renovations.

Carbone Chrysler, Yorkville, NY

A $1.5 million design/build project included a 14-bay service / wash bay addition and a 4-bay service write-up addition, entirely renovated showroom and offices, exterior and entry tower.

Harley Davidson of Utica, New York Mills, NY

A $1.2 million design/build / construction management 24,000 square-foot building for Carbone Auto Group. The building features a wide variety of conventional and Butler exterior finishes including cement board siding, exposed wood trusses, architectural metal roofing, large storefront windows, cultured stone veneer, as well as Butler Texturewall panels. Inside the dealership, the more notable design features include an in-floor radiant heat system throughout, second floor mezzanines and a ground concrete floor finish known as Retro-Plate.

Colgate University, 94 Broad Street, Hamilton, NY

A $767,000 Renovation to PHI TAU House.
