The Charles A. Gaetano Construction Corporation was founded in 1960 and today
is a second-generation full service general contractor. Our clients are in the
commercial, industrial, health care and multi-residential housing markets as well
as government agencies. Current annual volume exceeds $50M. Our own forces perform
concrete, masonry and carpentry work.
In 1982, the Charles A. Gaetano Construction Corporation acquired the Butler Manufacturing
Company Pre-engineered Steel Building franchise for Oneida, Madison and Herkimer
counties. In 2000 the firm was appointed as a "Career Builder" - a designation
for Butler Builders who maintain a consistentmarket share and commitment to a
long term relationship with Butler. Since 1982, we have completed more than 1.5
million square feet of design-build projects utilizing Butler components. In-house
computer aided drawing enables us to prepare preliminary or fully detailed design-build
proposals to meet the most demanding of schedules.
In the mid-1950's, Charles A. Gaetano and a small crew operated as a masonry contractor
in the Utica, NY area. By 1960, the scope of work and staff expanded and so, the
Charles A. Gaetano Construction Corporation was established. The business continued
to grow over the next 39 years.
William Gaetano, Vice-President of Business Development, develops new business
relationships and continues working with clients from the past 30 years. John
Sabotka, COO - Vice-President of Operations, and eight project managers are responsible
for over a dozen different construction projects on any given day. David
Kleps leads the Design-Build Butler Building department by negotiating, estimating,
and managing projects for new and past clients.
Computers have dramatically changed the work process and continue to be upgraded
to aid accounting as well as cost estimating, scheduling, designing, drafting,
and project management. Working safely is strictly enforced and has resulted in
a .82 Experience Modification Ratio, giving the company a competitive edge and
lower insurance costs.
